In November 2016, a public supply well in Bucks County was found to contain combined combinations of PFOA and PFOS that exceeded EPA’s 70 parts per trillion Health Advisory Level. DEP’s Southeast Regional Office Hazardous Site Cleanup and PFAS Action Team immediately took steps to begin a thorough investigation of the surrounding area which continues today. This case study will summarize DEP’s investigation and response activities to-date.
